my daughter, 35, had a few sessions. she makes a lot of money and stopped going due to the expense but I DID notice she looked prettier And younger after 2 or 3 visits. Which amazed me since she has near perfect skin.
The "hamburger" look probably has to do with either the "tip" of the wand they use OR the pressure they use. I saw someone on tv getting this under general anesthesia and the doctor was PUSHING the spinning thing on her face and you could see it getting red. But you have a choice. You can do like my D and her friends and get the "lunch hour" DB done where you go back to work with a slightly pink face. But if you do opt for this treatment, you'll have to go a lot of times to get the results you want. You can buy at home MDerm machines on ****. They sell like hotcakes.
I would think with deep acne scars you'd need a laser treatment that you see them getting on tv under a general. This burns off the top layers of the skin; if they make a "second or third pass" with it they go deeper. But to think MD would take care of acne scarring--I doubt it.
Chemical peels are good but painful. And you better get someone experienced doing them or you can be left with white spots!!

well i saw the dermatologist and i asked bout eleminating my facial scars he told me bout " Microdermabrasion" ive looked on the internet sounds like some thing i could do ....but is it really does any 1 have experience with "Microdermabrasion" This is some thing that i am really considering ... a gurl friend of mine whom also has severe deep acne scars told me should would NEVER consider " IT " and said your face ....after the procedure is done ... supposedly ...looks like ground beef 
... wutever that means ..nice eh
