| Help! Drooping eye & facial swelling after facelift
I am now 3weeks postop facelift and rhinoplasty and have seen no improvement in left-side facial swelling and have developed noticeable drooping of left eye. I went back to PS last week and he states "looks like something is going on" but didn't think that it was infection, absess, or really even fluid. Started me on a round of oral antibiotic "just in case" and a 3-day tapering dose of prednisone. To return in a week if no improvement. It is now 4 days later and absolutely have seen no change. I have to return to work in a week and I am depressed and very worried. I expected to see most of the swelling gone after 2week postop and never imagined that my eye would start drooping. I am miserable and see no end in sight. Any suggestions or knowledge to share will be appreciated.
