| Re: Help needed - UK
Hi Lucyelesmore, firstly can i say how deeply sorry i am that things didn't go well for you. I too have been left devastated after i had CO2 laser resurfacing done to my face in January. I am still suffering now and have not been out the house, socially, for six months. My consultant who performed the surgery was extremely unhelpful when i kept going back to him with problems so i know what it's like when you put your 'life' in their hands and keep getting let down! I 'fortunately' don't know of this Dr Rennato but it is very important that you check out every surgeon before you go ahead with surgery. If he is a credited surgeon, he should be on the BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetics Surgeons) website www.bapras.org.uk. The website may help you find information on him or allow you to contact someone for more information. I emailed the Patient Advisory Service and explainded about my ordeal. They gave me a contact for a surgeon in my area who i have been to see now about 5 times in the last 4 weeks. He is brilliant and has been my life saver. Prehaps if you contact them they may be able to put you in contact with someone who can help you further.
I hope i have been a little bit of help and please reply if you want further information. I can try and do a bit of research for you if it helps. Good luck and all the best. My thoughts are with you.
Wendy :-)
