| Re: Anyone had Restylan?? Please respond
I'd follow your doctor's advice, the one who is performing surgery on your nose. Your lips will swell and you might have some bruising, as well as lingering ***** marks, which last about a week. You have to have realistic expectations about Restylane. Initially, due to the swelling, the effect is more pronounced and does subside, to a more "normal" state. 1cc, which can cost about $500 primarily defines the lip line and plumps the lips up some. 2cc.s is ideal, though costly. Restylane only lasts about 4 months, not the 6+ months that you hear about. A maintenance program is best, where you have touch ups about every 3-4 months. Also, alot depends on what you are trying to achieve with injectables. As far as doing your lips, prior to your other surgery, I'd say, just be prepared to have a sore nose and sore lips, at the same time. I've also learned that a little Botox, above the upper lip, combines well, with the Restylane. I was worried the Botox would make my lip droop, but, such a small amount is used, that it primarily smooths out any fine lines, complimenting what the Restylane does, in filling out any lines.
