I am now six days post op from blepheroplasty, laser resurfacing under eyes, and lipo on torso area. I have to say that the pain from the laser resurfacing has been unrelenting and tremendous. Although each day is a marked improvement in healing the pain is still intense. I can say that had I known that 'light erasing' was going to be this bad I'd not have done it. It was a 'freeby' thrown in with the other two procedures. I am hoping that by this coming Sunday I can wear makeup as my husband and I are flying to Houston for a little sight seeing trip.

My regimen is now: wash under eyes about every hour or so, blot with a papertowel and roll a very wet q-tip under eyes to help gently debride the tissue. I then cover the area with a very thick layer of petroleum jelly to keep the air off, which helps with the pain but doesn't eliminate it. I am desperately seeking some soothing salve to help as the petroleum jelly will dry the area out (my skin lets me know when it is times to wash again, as drying seems to the be the most painful).

The swelling in my face is nearly all resolved with just a small amount on the jawline. Early on I wrote in my journal that whereas prior to surgery I looked like a child born of Audrey Hepburn and Winona Ryder I oddly enough now resembled Martin Sheen! Go figure!

BTW, I am very pleased with the blepheroplasty. The lipo I'm not sure about yet, I don't care for wearing "The Garment" that I must wear for the next six weeks, but I have hopes that soon I will be able to ride my bicycle again as I am starting to feel out of shape. I've just felt so horrible from the laser that I've not done much but lay around, not a fun way to spend my two week vacation!
