Hi, it's been a while since I posted here, but had a question. I'm not sure where to post a question like this, so I figured here was as good as any... I would call my surgeon for this, but I don't want to bother him since he is very busy.

I had a surgery about 4 years ago, and I wanted to get a tattoo on the scar that is on my belly. But I want to have another kid with my soon to be husband within the next few years. I don't want to wait to get the tattoo, if I do I probably never will get it, urges die with time. The thing about it is, bellies stretch, and so do tattoos, rendering them. I didn't get very big when I was pregnant with my son, I only gained 28 pounds, but I'm 6 foot tall, there was plenty of room for him, so there wasn't a weight issue. So if I do have another kid, I most likely won't gain too much weight.

Any ways, on to my question: do scars stretch? I have other scars, but not on a part of me that will grow considerably. For example, the thigh, right under the knee cap, etc. The other thing about it is that if scars do stretch, I won't want to become pregnant as I do not want a 2 inch wide scar on my belly, it's already a half inch at the widest... I tried looking all over web sites and everything, but can't find anything other than stretch mark removal... Does anyone here know anything about this? Thank you!
