Question ANYONE get LIPO???

I am surprised I don't see more info on Lipo on this board. I am really wanting to get my thighs(inner and outer) and flanks and stomache done. I had a partial tummy tuck done 2 years ago and they never really took out enough by the belly button area. I would love hear from people who have had this done.....especially the thighs as some Drs will not touch the inner thighs and I don't want yucky, floppy skin!! I am athletic 5'7'' and 130llb so it is for contouring those areas that do not reaspond to my exercise!

Re: ANYONE get LIPO???

DO NOT DO INNER THIGHS!!!!!!

I had lipo a year ago and I am also athletic 5'4" 120lbs and you are correct you can work your butt off and never get the thigh area contoured like we want. I did my inner thighs even after reading the "horror" stories thinking oh that won't happen to me - WRONG!! I didn't do the outer b/c I didn't need that area. Anyway, the lipo did solve one problem and that was the rubbing/friction however it is so obvious that I had something done. The inner thigh area looks bumpy/wavy and the skin just didn't tighten back up like I thought it would. Granted I'm 42 but still I thought it would look better than it does. I'm now doing endermologie/tri active and luckily that has helped smooth the areas out some but they will never look the same.

I also did the flank area and this was the second time I have had that area done and still no results. And just so you know that area hurts like you know what for some reason.

Would I do it all again, probably. As I said the friction issue was more my problem and walking the beaches on vacations was just impossible for me as I would break out in rashes. Not a pretty picture but now I have a different issue with that area.

I would try tri active first atleast in the inner thigh area first before lipo.

I hope this helps and I don't mean to be so blunt but I promise you I should have paid more attention to all the others who had bad results. Oh well live and learn. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

The best way I can describe it is a very deep massage using a device with rollers on it. My dermatologist/spa offers it and one of the girls - who is trained-does the procedure. It lasts about 45 minutes and it helps break up the cellulite and helps tighten the skin. The trick is finding an experienced person to do it so you get the full result and does it properly because the tri active machine is non-invasive basically anyone could roll it around on you and it wouldn't hurt you or damage you but you would not get results - does that make sense? In other words there is no laser, etc with this treatment so you can't get scarred, etc. the trick is the aesthetician rolling it the correct way along with the right amount of pressure.

It is not cheap I pay $750 for seven treatments and go 2 times a week. They recommend 21 visits to see the best results. I just stopped doing my regular massages and am doing this instead. It is not a weight loss tool or anything like that it just smooths and tightens the texture (for a lack of better words) of your skin.

There are some people that don't see noticeable results but I can honestly say I have seen results after 4 times. It definitely has smoothed out the wavy look on my inner thighs - its not perfect - but it is definitely better. The added bonus of this is my rear end It has helped tighten it back "up" which I'm thrilled about since bathing suit season is right around the corner. Being 42 my skin doesn't bounce back like 20 year olds so this has really been a great non surgical and non painful way to smooth out the lipo I had done.

hope that answers your questions - let me know if you have anymore - take care

Re: ANYONE get LIPO???

Hello,

Four weeks ago I had a BR and lipo on my chin, stomach and flanks. I am very pleased with the results already. The area that looks the best so far is my flanks. I don't have much swelling there at all and it is only a little tender, but numb at the same time.

I plan on having a TT when I have my hysterectomy at the end of October. My PS likes to do lipo on the stomach before a TT if needed so he is able to pull the skin tight and not have sagging skin from lipo after the TT.

I love my PS, he is great and I can't wait for my TT!

Suzi
