Any one have experience with suing a Plastic Surgeon? - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

I had a breast lift with Augmentation 2 years ago. I was basically butchered. I have terrible scarring and my lift failed 3 months post op. My surgeon has promised to fix my problems several times and went back on her word. I'm fed up and can't live like this for the rest of my life. I want some kind of monetary restitution for this. Any advice? There is no way I can afford a revision with a new surgeon. This is killing my self esteem let alone my intimate relationship with my husband.

I've heard the outcome is lousy. Anyone?

I do sympathize with you.

This is something you probably don't want to hear, but, I would imagine that a revision with a new surgeon, would be a whole lot less inexpensive then hiring a lawyer and going through a lengthy lawsuit, IF you could even find a lawyer to take the case.

Unless you could really prove negligence, you would probably end up loosing and have spent many thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it but more frustration.

Does the dr have malpractice insurance that you can file a claim with?
