| Eyelid surgery question!
Ok, I got a question regarding eyelid surgery. First off, I had a slight injury to one of my eyelids. It's been "droppy" looking, and there is an actual crease missing in ONE of the eyelids. (not born like that). It's only been this way for about 6-8 months now, after I got hit in the eye. So I'm most likely going to have to have surgery to fix it.
But here's my question:
I am thinking of getting the surgery to also be cosmetic. I want to fix the eyelid missing the crease - but at the same time both my eyelids seem smaller than they used to be! Maybe just from exessive rubbing of the lids. I'm not sure. So there's two reasons why I want to do the surgery - to fix the injury (non-cosmetic reason), but also to give the eyes a more "open, wider look" (cosmetic reason)
Now here's my main question: I am partial japaense, and then White. I was born with a crease in BOTH eyelids. But if I get surgery, do I go to an eye doctor who specalizes in cacausain eyelid surgery, or one who specalizes in Asain eyelid surgery!? Overall I suppose I am more "dominant" white - i was born with blonde hair, and now (i'm 20) have light/medium brown hair, blue eyes with some green. So I suppose mostly cacusian features, BUT the size of my eyes are kinda small, so I guess that'd make them more asain like in size of the eye. But then since the injury, the eyelid is probably about 25% smaller. So it doesnt look right.
Now I know some of you will say ask the eye doctor. But the eye doctor will give a biased opinon. Caucasin eyelid surgery doctor will tell me they can do it, and an asain eyelid specalist will also tell me they can do it for me. Neither doctor will say "oh no, we can't do it for you". So who would be the PROPER one for me to go to? One who specalizes in cacusian eyelid surgery, or asain eyelid surgery? Or does it not matter? And what kinda surgery would they perform? Since i know that "asain double eyelid surgery" consist of CREATING A NON EXISTING CREASE, but I already have a crease, at least in the non injured eye. So how would that even work, if I where to go to an asain eyelid specalist, what would they do if I already have a crease? And how would it work if I went to a cacuasin eyelid specalist?
As you can tell, my eyes weren't that small. But the eyelids currently cover MORE of my eye then they used to when I was oh, 5-10 years old or so. Probably about 25% or so more. Which is kinda strange. So that's why I feel like I want to do a surgery to make them "more open, wider eye" look, as my eyes NEVER used to be like this.
