botox -how many acutal needle sticks? - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

I am 38 and a first time botox user. I had my first treatment yesterday. I had my frown lines,upper eyebrows, and a a couple of lines above and below my lips injected. I would say it was between 8 and 10 sticks. She supposedly used about 23 units. I am just wondering if this is about right?

Hi Amy,

I'm 55 and had my forehead done and around my eyes. Probably got 10 - 12 sticks, so yes I would say what you got was normal. How is your forehead? My doc warned me I may have "lowering of the forehead" meaning a bit of a hooded eyelid. He didn't think it would happen to me. Hmm... well it did. And now it's difficult to apply my eye makeup and I'm pretty ticked off after spending all that $$. My forehead is as smooth as a baby's behind, but was it worth it to have my eye area smaller?

My FIRST TIME with botox I had my FOREHEAD done and used about 40units. i then had touch up 6 months later and used about 20. this past time it was a year and I used 50. all in my forehead again. Of course I had STRONG muscles in my face(I'm very animated facially) .. which means more botox.

using this many gives me a FROZEN face for about a week and then it relaxes to a regular smooth face with wiggle ability
