Breast Reduction

I am having my Breast Reduction in about 3 weeks. Very excited, but kinda scared. I am a DD cup presently and I discussed my size with my Dr. this week. He wants to bring me down to a C, but I told him I would rather be a B to a small.... C.. He was not opposed to that. I just do not want to wake up and realize I wished I had went smaller so I think I am telling him to make me a B. My GYN told me last year, most
woman that have had the reduction done are very pleased, some women say they wished they went a bit smaller--that is the only complaint he ever hears. Does anyone have anything to add from their experience.

Re: Breast Reduction

I'm a 34 B, and I consider myself very small breasted (except at the moment, because I'm pregnant).
I think C is more of an "average" size.

Breast Reduction

I am FINALLY having my breast reduction next week. I am a D-DD presently and I am going to go down to a B cup. The doctor thought he would make me a C cup but if I chose to go to a B, he said he is open to that too. I have read where so many women's breast grow again that I am thinking I will go down to the B. My GYN told me that the majority of women are thrilled after their breast reduction, their only regret sometimes is that they did not go smaller What can I expect the first few days after the reduction. I am getting really nervous. I was so excited about getting it done, now I am kinda scared..

Re: Breast Reduction

Hi, I'm just wondering how it went? How is the pain post operation? I'm considering getting a reduction as I'm a 26F (I have to get bras from a custom company), even then the straps are digging into my shoulders. I have about 1/2 inch grooves in my shoulders and can't stand up straight. I really believe it's time to get the reduction but I'm nervous about the pain. How was it for you? I hope you're doing well and happy with the results.

Re: Breast Reduction

Do you mind me asking what your height and weight are. I am in the same boat. I am a triple DDD and want to have a reduction but scared of how I will look after.

Re: Breast Reduction

I'm 5 feet 3 inches and 106 pounds. I just got approved and am having my surgery in two weeks! :-)

As far as post operative scarring, the amount of scarring depends on the procedure you get. Liposuction only leaves a tiny dot, but only works if you have fat to remove (not glandular tissue.) There is also the keyhole method where you have a anchor shaped scar, and another that leaves a Lollypop shaped scar. The scars do heal and they won't show even when you wear a swim suit because they will be covered. Best of luck! :-)
