Information on Costochondritis Needed
Hello All,
I would like to see more information on this topic here. Costochondritis is inflammation of the rib cartilage. This is an important topic because the symptoms can mimick heart attack or respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia. The usual symptoms are chest pain (usually on left side), numbness or tingling in left arm, difficulty breathing, and rapid heartbeat while resting. Costochondritis can be brought on by trauma to the chest cavity, lupus, or open heart surgery. And the usual treatment is with anti-inflammatories (both steriodal and non-).
I was diagnosed with this condition a year ago, and have only found a couple of sites with basic information. It would be good to have people share what they know about this condition. I would like to be able to compare pharmaceutical and herbal remedies, nutritional habits, and fitness options with others who deal with this.
Thank you for considering this!
