Does anybody know if Costochondritis can cause upper back pain? I have had this for a rew months and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I also have pain in my waist where the lower ribs are and in the middle. My waist feels hard and bruised and I can't sit comfortably in a chair because it feels like my abdomen is getting in the way of my waist or vice versa. Plus I also have the usual upper rib/chest pain and tightness. Does anyone know when this will end? I thought it was supposed to get better.

ive had much the same sorta thing for nearly 3 months! drives you crazy dont it? yes i have had upper back pain. i feel like my bodys not me own anymore

just started seeing a chiropractor who says its because of some ligament damage in my pelvis which makes no sense to me,but i'll try anything at this point the tightness 24/7 is driving me mad and other doctors cant find anything wrong,ive had 2 chest x-rays and 6 ecgs and stomach tests also not forgetting blood tests,i also get a sharp pain under my left breast which my chiropractor says is a trapped nerve,so sorry i dont have answers for you, im looking for them also,hope u get some relief soon i know how stressfull and at times how painful it can be

Hiya,

Thanks for replying. I am glad I am not the only one out there feeling this way. The doctors have given me all sorts of pills and nothing seems to work, in fact some of them make me sicker!

I hope you get some relief one day...best of luck!

pills ive got a cupboard full of them none of them do any good
