| Horrible pain
I was so happy to see this topic finally got its own board! I had my first experience with Costo in 2007. I was afraid I was having a heart attack and went to the ER twice in one weekend. After all of the normal test to rule out anything carido-related, I was told about Costochondritis. That same year, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Needless to say, my body is one big inflammation! I take Humira to control the arthritis, and get Costo spells probably once a month. Right now, I am in the middle of propbably one of the worst ones ever. I hurt all the way around my chest/back area. I can't take in a full breath. I can only describe th epain to people as someone squeezing me constantly in a big bear hug. I have tried pain killers and heat today. I am not really supposed to take any other NSAID's because of the Humira, but I may have to break down and take some Advil. I am very depressed over this. I am 35 and I feel like I am constantly in some type of pain. Sorry to vent tonight, I guess I just feel depressed as I always do whern something on my body flares up. My Rheumatologist gave me a Lidocaine cream to use on my chest, and even that isn't helping tonight. Anyway, I hope everyone is feeling well tonight and thanks for letting me vent.
