My pain management doctor wants to give me cortisone injections in the chest for my chronic costochondritis. I'm scared. Has anyone ever had them, and if so, do they work and did you have side effects? My appointment is Monday, so I would REALLY appreciate some advice quick! Thank you!

Actually, I chickened out when I went to the doctor. I go again mid-October and will probably get them then. I have had a couple other doctors strongly recommend I do it. I keep thinking surely somebody on this board has had this done, and keep hoping someone will respond and let me know what to expect. Thanks for asking.
I hope you get some relief!!! It would be wonderful!! I wonder why they wont do my friends in her chest? Wonder if its the same injectable medicine? Will ask her but l know they do hers in the shoulder rather than the chest. Let me know how you get on cos l need help with my seriously x
