costochondritis and esophageal spasms?

Hi,

I got costochondritis last year at the same time that I started to get oesophageal spasms - does anyone else get this?

Many thanks

Re: costochondritis and esophageal spasms?

Hi there, yes I get the spams as well. Seem to happen more often when I am sitting. I can't explain it nor do I know why it happens. But it does, and it's annoying. Thankfully it doesn't hurt. Just an odd few seconds.

These spasm im not sure. Trying to figure out my health right now thought I had COSTO but its not tender to the touch but i have pain radiating up my sternum to the right across my chest, scary stuff. Had a endoscope that came back normal but the past month has been painful to eat. Is this similar?

Re: costochondritis and esophageal spasms?

My pain in my chest was localized on that 3rd/4th rib only. But when you hit that spot it sure hurt.

Try a self exam ans see if you can find the tender spot.
