Question IBS, Crohn's, Anxiety or worse???

Trying to figure out what I have. My symptoms are: Very few "normal" stools for the last year or more, either diarrhea or constipated. Diarrhea has been bad the past few months, mostly in the mornings. No blood. No fever. Occasional bad lower right abdominal pain that is also in my lower right back and it feels hot inside. Had this pain on and off for a long time, it usually goes away after a few days but has been more constant the past 2 weeks. Sometimes I feel a fullness/pressure in my lower abdomen and have frequent urination. I also get dizziness/ faint feeling sometimes the past few weeks and feel tired.
I also do believe I suffer from anxiety. One doctor mentioned IBS and anxiety, another wants to do a ct scan. What are the best ways to test if there is something wrong? I do not want to do the ct scan because of the high levels of radiation, are there other ways to test if something is wrong? Can ultrasound detect issues? I did have a stool test and blood work and all was good. I am a mostly Vegan and the problems do not seem to be worse or better according to what I eat except if I eat dairy. Does anyone have thes symptoms? Any help would be appreciated.

Veronica7--Ask them to test you for Celiac disease which is a gluten intolerance. They can do this through a simple blood test is you can get the GI doc to rule it out for you. Often times it is misdiagnosed for IBS. Just one of the things to be ruled out when experiencing symptom such as yours. FLFLOWERGIRL

Re: IBS, Crohn's, Anxiety or worse???

Veronica I have had these spells for 20 years and today it is no better despite testings etc. Many diagnosis, a lot of antibiotics and suppositions, been to specialists, had a colonscopy , removed polyops, removed 18 inches of colon during a hernia surgery.
Nothing has stopped my bowel problems. I have recently stayed away from all dairy products, and use Soy Silk for milk. I do not know if that would help you but my problems have lessened... also on strong Probotics after so much antibiotics. Hope things work out for you soo.

I have had Crohn's Dusease for 26 years.......go to a gastroenterologist and ask for a colonoscopy. This well either rule out or confirm if you have Crohn's.
