I am exsasberated I have been havng incredible pain for a while now, two mo. ago I was diagnosed with gastritis, just did a small bowel follow through tue. and found that my stomach is still inflamed and small intestines are also inflamed. Sm. intestines only toward that stomach area. I have incredible pain while having a BM, my sm. intestines constantly make noise, loud noise. However I had colonoscopy this morning and to my own amazement I am just normal there. I am so sick of being sick and I want to figure it out. Any one have any suggestions for me to go to my doc with? or any similar experiences??
There are some immunological markers for Crohn's which can be tested for in the blood: these are ASCA IgA, ASCA IgG, and pANCA.
If you test positive for ASCA IgA and ASCA IgG, then you most likely have Crohn's. pANCA is more common in colitis and Crohn's of the colon.

I have Crohn's myself and tested positive for ASCA IgA and ASCA IgG, and negative for pANCA. This is consistent with the type of disease I have - restricted to the ileum.

I have been diagnosed with gastritis as well and my stomach was also inflamed. Did you follow the diet for gastritis -no spices, no coffee or acidic food etc.. and what medication were you prescribed?
I have been prescribed Protonix (for 20 days) and Ranitidine (for 60 days) and they made the inflamation go away! I still have the stomach rumblings but I can't eat anything greasy or with fat or else I end feeling sick.
