| Colonoscopy
Hi everyone, my consultant thinks I have ulcerative colitis connected to my psoriatic arthritis. I had a colonoscopy on Monday and yesterday afternoon and today my back is really aching and my stomach is gripy. The doctor took 7 biopsies and said the colon was ulcerated, he showed me the areas of ulceration on the screen. Two questions - is it normal to have pains after a colonoscopy? and what will happen now they have seen this on the colon? He definitely said I have inflammatory bowel disease.
