Asacol and headaches???

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced headaches while taking Asacol.

I was taking 1200mg X2 daily and was getting the worst headaches, dropped down to 800X2 daily and the headaches lessened and symptoms were absent. Tried going down to 400X2 a day and the headache was still there but lessened alot. After a couple of days I am going right back into my flare, with LOTS of pain and I have jumped back up to my original dose and will suffer through the headaches. Not sure if this is the right thing to do, the headaches are a side effect but I can't stop taking them without the flare doing me in...

I see my dr monday and will discuss what else I can try. I am wondering tho, if the headaches are a common thing.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
