Mild Colitis but reaction to antibiotics

Was recently told I have a mild colitis and prescribed 10 days on Metronidazole..Before even taking the drug all my symptoms had gone back to normal with just a little extra mucus in the stool..I was about 7 days into taking the antibiotic when every day since taking the medicine my throat kept getting sore and more sore by the day..finally last night I called the pharmacist and told him of my symptoms and he told me to stop taking and call the DR in the morning which I did and waiting for them to get back..my qusetion is now that I have missed about 3-4 doses will that affect anything? Right away today my sore throat is gone so I know it was some sort of reaction..Would I be fine to just go on and forget the antibiotics since I have taken 75% of them or could this screw me back up agian? Would they put me on another antibiotic? Your thoughts Thanks
