What this report means?

biopsy report says:

Nature of Specimen : Ileal Biopsy

Clinical Details : Ulcers Erythema in Terminal Ileum

Microscopic examination : sections show fragments of ileal mucosa with areas of erosion. some of the fragments shows lymphoid follicles and reactive hyperplasia of lymphoid tissue. The mucosal lamina propria shows mild to moderate infiltration with lymphocytes. plasma cells and few eosinophils. There are 15-20 eosinophils per high power field. Epithelioid granuloma not seen.

Impression: Chronic Ileties

Sounds like there is some erosion happening, could be the start of an ulcer, also sound like there is an infection with all the WBCs...since its the illeum it sound like it could be chrones..Talk with your doc..they should know what it all boils down too

Yes, I agree. You do have continuing inflammation and ulcers in that area which does sound like Crohn's.

Was this scope a colonoscopy?
