BEST FRIEND WITH CF - Cystic Fibrosis Message Board

My best friend has cystic fibrosis. She is 18 and just graduated high school I am 14.I have known her most of my life and she is like a sister to me.Every year she goes into the hospital but this time its for more days. She is going to be in there through Christmas. Is she getting worse because she is getting older?I try doing research but its to unsettling. I dont ask her or her parents because they rarely talk about it.If you can help me understand why she is getting worse please help!

I have a friend who has 2 boys that are being tested for CF. They are 2 and 4 years old. They have been going to the doctor for a bad cough. Coughing is the only symptom they have. Their sweat test both came back in the mid 30's. They re-tested the next day; one was still mid 30's while the other increased to 47. They are being sent to a larger hospital for a more detailed and accurate testing. I would like to know what exactly this means. I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences and what these results could mean. Since the results were below 49, does that mean it is okay?
