 new, talk to me
I have a large, healthy looking 2 yr old who loves to eat everything (on days when he doesn't have so much mucus that it comes back up). He was born 5 weeks early, and despite the fact that he grunted and wheezed with every breath, they sent him home with me wihtinn 48 hyrs becase he was able to breath without the help of oygen. He has had chronic sinusitis, and allergy symptoms since 2 weeks of age. His bowel movement have always been unusual. He has never slept well because he is always congested. We have been to allergists, ENT's and internists. His most recent allergist requested a sweat test althoug he had one at 9mos old that was high, but within normal range. This time it came back abnormal. They sent in the blood/genetic test 5 days ago and I am to wait another 5 - 10 days to find out if he truly has CF. No I have not been sleeping since. I hold on to the fact that his is very large and the majority of his problems seem to have been in his chest and sinuses. They think he also has asthma - I own a nebulizer and a life time supply of chromolyn sodium and albuterol. Anyone out there had similar experiences, or have some advice? tjdespa@xmission.com
