My cousin's one yr death anniversary, less than a wk. Need suggestions. - Death & Dying Message Board

Hello,
I am new to this whole site and every forum I think I could post something, but this is great... best way to vent and get things out and many ideas and answers in return. Well, April 2004 had to have been the worst day of my life. My cousin committed suicide, that in its self is hard enough to cope with. Saturday will be the yr. anniversary and my family is having a memorial gathering, family and friends. I was just wondering if there is any ideas some ppl could give me on something I could make or present to his parents and gf. I was thinking of doing that StarWishing, naming a start... but I would like to think of more things before I decide on that.

Your cousin's parents are still grieving very much. This memorial gathering will be very helpful to them, especially with dear relatives and friends who care so much, like you. Have you been to [url]www.compassionfriends.org?[/url] They have good suggestions, very meaningful poems. It may be there is a local chapter closeby.

We lost our daughter 4 years ago in a traffic accident. We really appreciate watching videos of our daughter with our close family members. It is so good to see her in happy times and relive those precious memories. If you have any photos, special stories that his parents do not have, this would also be very meaningful.
