Hi - What sad news for a mom to hear about her child!! My approach would be to tell your mother that your sister is very ill, and then let her ask further questions about how serious it is. She may or may not want to know that your sister's death is imminent, but you should be able to tell as you talk to her. Does she know how long your sister has been ill? I think you'll be able to tell during your conversation how much she wants to know. good luck! Mabent
