blood coming through nose and mouth
 

We were trnasfering mom to a stretcher to take her home, as she was put on stretcher blood came through her mouth & nose and then she was gone< what caused that?

I've seen it a couple of times at my job (I am not a nurse, but a nurses aide). It's usually when the person is dying of end stage liver disease and varicose veins develop in the esophagus. These veins end up bursting and that's when you see quite a large amount of blood come out of the nose and mouth.

That is so scary and sad. I'm sorry you had to see that. Please know that at the point that this was happening to your MOM....she did not FEEL it....
