very high cea result
My Mom just had a cea test to check for colon cancer recurrence. Last Dec it was 24.7 but nothing showed on the CAT scan they did. The new reading is 391.3 just done 2 weeks ago. She does not want any treatment as my Dad passed away May 1st. and she is ok with joining him. Does anyone know a possible time frame- months, a year?

You're assuming she is dying then? Has the doctor told her the colon cancer has returned? CEA levels can be affected by other things too. Have her ask for a new CT scan (whether or not she wants treatment after that she should know what she's up against).
