My father has been diagnosised with end stage liver disease. He thinks if he takes all these vitamins the doctor told him that will make everything better.He continues to consume a 30 pack of beer daily this usually starts @ 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 p.m. His recent blood count was 10. He goes back on Dec.27 for another blood work to see if he can finally have gallstones removed. My mother said the stones were so severe that if one got in the tract and ruptured he could die, this part I'm so confused about. My dad isn't the same his energy level is nill, stays in pj's till noon or all day. My mother recently noticed blood stained underwear. His belly is swollen, itchy skin my mom applies some kind of cream but doesn't seem to help,and jaundice. So what do you think is the next step to look for? I hate to feel like this but to me death is seriously knocking at his door. Please help me understand this.
