| End stage secondary liver cancer
My dad was diagnosed 3.5 years ago with aggressive stage 4 prostate cancer. The cancer was running rampant through his prostate and his bones. He has been through all types of treatments: hormone therapy, chemo, radiation etc. he has now been diagnosed with secondary liver cancer back in may. Then he was told he had 3 weeks to a month to live. He has slowly deteriorated since then but is still holding on. He has been placed under hospice care. Heis eating a lot less and grimaces whenever my mother offers him food. A couple of weeks ago his feet and legs have started to swell in a major way! In the past week he hs slowed down a lot. It is difficult to walk short distances and falls asleep when we are talking to him. Why can I expect? Is the end near? I have been a basket case these past 3 years but now I feel like I am at my wits ends. It is so sad....he is only 65 years old. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated...
