MRI Results Help
I had a MRI done a few days ago, and I need help understanding the results. Thank you
HISTORY: Neck pain. Degenerative disc disease
TECHNIQUE: Noncontrast cervical spine MRI
COMPARISON: None.
FINDINGS: Cervical cord caliber and signal are normal. Loss of normal
lordosis with very mild kyphosis centering at C6-C7. Vertebral body
heights are maintained, bone marrow signal intensities are normal.
Visualized intracranial structures appear unremarkable. Paraspinous
soft tissues are normal. C2-C3 and C3-C4 normal.
C4-C7 reveal disc osteophyte complexes, uncovertebral joint osteophyte
formation, and facet arthropathy, with the following additional details:
C4-C5: No central or neural foraminal narrowing.
C5-C6: Minimal deformity of the ventral thecal sac but no central or
neural foraminal narrowing.
C6-C7: Minimal, if any, left neural foraminal narrowing. Minimal
deformity of the ventral thecal sac but no central stenosis.
C7-T1: No central or neural foraminal narrowing.
T1-T2 disc seen on the sagittal images only appears normal.
IMPRESSION: Minor degenerative disease of the cervical spine. Overall,
no significant central or neural foraminal narrowing.
