Question DDD and MRI Report

I am quite confused.

Please help explain my latest MRI report which is more detailed than in previous years. The report reads as follows:

MRI Spine lumbar and sacral:

Multilevel degenerative disc disease is identified from L3/4 to L5/S1. At L4/5 there is tight stenosis of the left L4 neural exit foramen secondary to a far lateral disc protrusion and posterior element hypertrophy.

A further far lateral disc protrusion may be impinging the exiting left L5 nerve root.

There is no further significant central or foraminal neural compression.

The marrow signal is normal except for the degenerative sclerosis at L4/5.

There is no evidence for spondyloarthropathy.

The conus and prevertebral soft tissues are normal.

MRI Pelvis SIJ Both: normal sacroiliac joints

Many Thanks
John
