Could this be causing my problems?

I am 35 and been having chronic neck pain and stiffness along with tenderness of the neck muscles. No history of injury or accident. An x-ray showed mild spurring at C4-5 and ligament calcification at C5-6. Could this be causing my symptoms or does it not seem severe enough to cause symptoms? My dr. said I don't need an MRI but I am thinking of requesting one.

What kind of work do you do? Many neck problems stem from job related activities. Things like working at a keyboard all day can cause problems.

Re: Could this be causing my problems?

I've been working at an office job for 15 years. I've recently made sure my desk and chair is more ergonomic (I didn't even think about this until I started having the problems) but maybe it's too late.
