I don't think there's any way to avoid some pain for the first day or two, but it's really manageable if you follow the surgeon's instructions. Not really much worse than recovering from a bad cold or something like that for a couple days. There shouldn't be any pain during the procedure, and if you take the option of something like IV sedation you won't even have a clue what they did until it's all over. |
I didnt feel any pain on the 1st and 2nd day (just a LOT of drooling), then on the 3rd day, I started feeling a little pain in the sockets. After the 4th day, my jaw on the left side was KILLING me

That pain lasted almost a week!! My oral surgeon said its because I am a "clincher"
