Unhappy Lump on roof of my mouth - after eating!

Hiya

Everytime I eat something I enjoy/find tasty, I can feel a lump on the back of the roof of my mouth. Sometimes it's the left side and sometimes the right, but recently it's been on the left. The lump doesn't really hurt, it's just irritating and if I put my finger in my mouth and press it I can usually pop it!! *Yuk!*

Please can anyone tell me what this might be and how to stop it?

Thanks in advance,

- Andrew

The fact that you say it's a lump and that it's associated with eating..... I'd think that there could be a chance that you might have a salivary stone. Reason being, I had one removed on Friday (stitches under my tongue, YAY!), except that it was in a gland under my tongue. But whenever I'd eat, it would swell up and I'd have this huge bump like I was growing a second head or something, then I'd press on it and it would release the pressure of all the saliva that was backed up. There are tiny salivary glands all over the place in your mouth....... I'm no professional (I'm a college freshman majoring in instrumental music education, hahaha), but I just figured I'd throw that little idea out to you because there's always a chance that it could be a salivary stone!
