i had my wisdom teeth out 5 months ago. one was impacted on the bottom. it was slightly complicated to remove. it hurt for a few days after removal, then was fine. well about 2 months later there was a throbbing pain for about a day in that area that hurt pretty bad, then, magically, it went away. today ive been having it agian. it is sensitive to cold and heat. it doesnt hurt all the time, but when it hurts, it hurts bad. i didnt do anything to hurt it, just woke up and there was the pain. its like a deep throbbing pain. anybody know what this could be?

Sounds like a possible infection. Perhaps getting some blood work done will indicate an infection (sometimes) and I'd definitely contact the oral surgeon that removed your wisdom teeth and ask what this could be. Do you have a specific area that is sensitive to touch as well? How many wisdom teeth did you have out? Do they all hurt?
i had all 4 out at once. only one hurts though. its not really sensitive to the touch, just an occasional bad episode of throbbing pain that last for an hour or so, then goes away.
I agree with tryingtofeelgood, Call your oral surgeon and dentist about this.
There may be an infection in the bone. But, I don't know for sure, I'm not an expert.
