Bone chip
I've had my dentures for about four weeks now. All day I have had a particularly sore spot and when I removed my denture, there was something hard protruding from my gum. I pulled it out and it was a bone chip. Has anybody else experienced anything like that? Is this normal?

I haven't experienced it, but, it is quite common. The bone chip just works it's way up to the surface after a period of time. At least you didn't have to go back in and have it removed! right?

I could feel a bone chip for many month at a spot where a tooth was pulled about 2 years ago. I finally went to the dentist and he pulled it out. He said that it happens a lot.

Yes, I wouldnt worry to much , I had that happen a few yrs ago when i had some back teethe removed. Dont be surprised if it happens again. Can i ask ya how you like your dentures? I am fixing to have this done next week.
