Oral thrush?

I was wondering if you could get oral thrush from poor dental hygiene? I have this white stuff around the area where the big taste buds are. A bit further it's all gones, it's just around the taste buds. I also have dozens of small tonsil stones each day. Is there a relation?

I don't know about the tonsil stones....

But does your breath smell? Is it like a white film over the back of your tongue? This could be halitosis, try scraping your tongue. This condition is caused when bacteria build up on the tongue and produce toxins which make your breath smell.

Don't know about the bad breath but when I touch it and then smell it smells terrible, so I assume I have bad breath. I have tried to scrape it off but I am afraid to touch these taste buds.

Re: Oral thrush?

The smell of your breath comes from the posterior part of your throat. If you scrape the stuff at the back off, and smell it, (you might gag scraping it off) it will smell bad if you have halitosis.
