In November I had my lower wisdom teeth removed. Only the lower left wisdom tooth was impacted sideways which required a more invasive procedure. Approximately one month after the extraction I discovered a small pimple in the "hinge" area of my gums directly above where the impacted tooth was. (where you usually get novicane injected). The pimple like bump usually shows up when I first wake up, and every so often may develop in the middle of the day, in either scenario the bump lasts for only a few hours before going away. The arrival of the bump is very inconsistent and tends to appear every couple of weeks. Sometimes it will pop and I can taste a bloody content, other times it will simply shrink. The bump grows nearly in the same spot each and everytime. Only once have I felt two bumps at once in that area. Could this be a canker sore or could this be related to my wisdom teeth extraction?

If the bump pops, it is probably not a canker sore. It is more likely to be a fistula. A fistula is an outlet where infection (pus) can drain when the pressure from the infection has built up. Have you had an X-ray on the area? It could possibly be coming from the tooth in front of the extraction site. You should probably schedule an appointment and have it checked out by your dentist.

Definetly go get an xray I had the same thing and it would pop and come back for a long time til one morning I woke up with the hole side of my face completely swollen, so bad that I had to go to the emergency room get an IV full of antibiotics, then had an incision and dranin for 2 days until the infection was clear!! the culprit of it was a root tip that was still there after an extraction.
