Does anyone suffer from irritated taste buds?

Oh my gosh does this hurt! I have this little red (in the beginning) now white painful closed little bump on the tip of my tongue! What causes this? I also heard that you can cut/or pinch these painful little things off. (A dentist told me that) What can I do for this? I really want to know what is the cause of it? Can anyone relate to me?

I get those all the time. You would never think something that little would drive you nuts but boy does it! I usually bite them and they go away soon to come back. I wish I knew what caused them!

I don't know what causes these, but last time I picked up some extra strength anbesol... I don't remember which variety it was, I think it might've been one of the cold sore ones... and put that on it. It numbed it immediately, but not annoying numbness that you can feel, I just didn't notice anymore pain for the rest of the day. The next day it hurt again but only a little bit, and I did it again... next day it was GONE. Usually these things stick around for a week or more for me and make me truly MISERABLE, so this was wonderful! I am sorry I don't remember which anbesol it was... it was one that was for mouth sores. Definitely worth going and finding it!!!

Best,
Tamara Nicole
