Can exercise make my tooth abscess spread?
I was recently diagnosed with a tooth abscess which has spread to a couple of my front teeth. My dentist gave me some antibiotics to calm the infection down until I can have the teeth in question root filled. I've noticed when I exercise (ie. running, swimming), the pain increases (although it does calm down again a few hours later). I've considered the option of not exercising until after my root fillings are completed but I really don't want to do that if it can be avoided.
Therefore my question is can the abscess spread or the infection increase if I exercise? If it is just increased pain for a few hours I can cope with that but if it's going to make the whole situation worse I would rather not bother. Any advice would be most appreciated.
