the "LINGUALNERVE" can be damaged by extraction or injection. so can the inferioralveolar or IA nerve. Takes a long time to heal, up to 2 years, sometimes permanent damage occurs-numb tongue, jaw,chin,speech impediment,tmj,depression,chronic pain,infection,atypical facial pain, trigeminal neuralgias,etc. Do a search for LINGUALNERVE. I would get a second and third opinion regarding getting wisdom teeth out. You have to look at the risks too.

Have you ever read the warning label on a bottle of over the counter medicine that's enough to make you think of all the things it can cause but if your head aches or your tooth hurts bad enough you will still take it.Its the same way with your wisdom teeth
