Pain after molar extraction

10 Days ago I had several teeth extracted and followed directions, however, I have a lot of pain where the molar was extracted? Is it normal to have pain so long?

Re: Pain after molar extraction

Hi Sae, I was wondering what happened to you. I'm sorry to hear you are still in pain, I would think that you should be pain free after 10 days (sore yes but without pain). Seems like a long time. Have you called your dentist about it. I think he should check you out. Take care and let us know how you are. Marti.d

Re: Pain after molar extraction

Hi Marti,
I did answer your last comment under dental problems, which seems to have shifted to page 2. Just getting the hang of this board. I am going to the dentist tomorrow and will see why it is so painful. The salt water seems to irritate it so have tried Biotene mouthwash which is more soothing and kills germs. Hope you are doing okay.

Re: Pain after molar extraction

Hi Marti,
I did go to the dentist today. He could not take impressions as the molar extraction site was not healed yet. Since it was a deep one, he said that that was the reason for the pain but it is filling in nicely and I will go back in 11 days and by then he should be able to take the impressions. Hope your implant sites are doing well and I imagine you are getting quite anxious for it to be over with. I sure have learned a lot since finding this message board. It is so great!
Sae
