I had two root canals 6 weeks ago. I went to the dentist for my perm crown fitting last week and it would never feel right after she adjusted it. So she put the temporary crowns back on (they are side by side, dont really think I needed two but too late to do anything about that)
Well anyway I had a filling done on the other side of my mouth with the composite filling on the same day. Prior I had been chewing on that side but after the filling I was unable to and therefore proceeded to eat on the side with the temp crowns. They fell off and I went in to have them recemented but they continue to come off and I've stopped eating on that side and back to the side with the filling (doesnt hurt as much anymore)
My question is can I leave the temporary crowns off for good until my appointment on 9/2? When I called about the temporary crowns being off and the pain from the filling, I believe the assistant told me I could leave it off even if the denture adhesive didnt work (which it doesnt hold as long at all) but I'm not positive.
If you have any experience with this, let me know. I appreciate the feedback!
