I had stitches in my gums from surgery, and I didnt feel a thing when he removed them...you might feel a little pinch, but I didnt even feel that...
Mine was hurting, sore and kinda itching until the sutures were out..then everything felt much better...Good Luck!
I concur with Nance - suture removal is very simple. You may have a little bit of discomfort depending on if your gums are irritated at all, but by and large it will be very easy. They just snip them and pull them out. You very well may be MORE comfortable immediately after the removal than immediately before. You might (but probably not) be a hair sore afterwards, but a couple of ibuprofin will do the trick - if you are worried, take a couple advil or tylenol before you appointment. But really, you will be very fine afterwards and will not have any problem going right back to work.
Its a cake walk. No real discomfort, and the stitches seem to pull on the gums, so it feels a lot less sore once they are gone-At least that was my experience. I'm sure you'll do fine!
