Gum Grafts Novacaine and Laughing Gas? - Dental Health Message Board

Hi,

Wondering if they use novacaine and the laughing gas together, and if they are affective together, during gum grafting tomorrow. My kids said when they had tooth extractions, they just had the gas and no shots? Does anyone have info on this? I think I want both for this procedure!

They should give you novacaine along with gas. Your kids probably just don't remember the shots because they came after the gas! In any case, your doc will do whatever possible to make sure you are completely painfree!

Kathy I had the gas, and it was wonderful, I went from 4 grafts to 8, I credit the gas!
