| Re: Best electric toothbrush?
Hey Palter, according to my dentist, and i haven't actually seen any of these studies myself, studies show that you can get the same result from manually brushing. the problem is, she says, people do not brush correctly or for long enough. so if you kept up your brushing for 2 minutes each time and used a rotating motion instead of up and down, she claims the results are the same as the electric toothbrush. Since very few people do this, she recomends electric as it gets people to brush correctly. I have been using the electric toothbrush for only a few months and i agree with this. It is a lot easier to brush at all, let alone in a circular motion and in all the back and inside corners with an electric toothbrush. so i am sold on the idea. Which one? Probably a matter of individual preference. Both of the commercial brands sell at Costco for around $59-79 with multiple brushes and multiple brush holders.
