I had a bridge put in one month ago, porecelain fused to metal by a general dentist. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to not feel entirely out of place in my mouth and there was a small amount of of pain for about 2 weeks. I called the dentist several times with my concerns. I thought this abnormal that the dentist kept saying pain was normal, and a bad taste in my mouth was just excess cement, so I got a second opinion. I made the mistake of telling her I was going to do so and the dentists name. Well, I went to that second opinion dentist who said that it looked like everything fit right. About a week later, I called the first dentist office (that put in the bridge) to complain of an odor coming from one of the crowns of the bridge, and that my bite felt different so maybe it had moved a little. After that point she said she could do nothing for me and dismissed me from her care since I had seen a second dentist who said all was fine. Said I should see the second opinion dentist or some other dentist for care from now on. She is an dmo dentist, so she contacted the insurance company and had both my husband and me taken off of the list she gets from insurance of patients she's paid to see.

Well, the second opinion dentist, who I told about this smell, does not seem concerned either, but I am concerned. I brush and floss at least twice sometimes more per day. I am very concerned.

If the smell is cement, can bad things be seeping in, even if two dentists said it fit correctly?

If smell is food, then where is that food? I am brushing and flossing all the time.

Is the bridge just gonna loosen eventually and I can worry about it then, or does this smell mean the teeth in the crowns are going to be decayed or my gums are going to have problems.

I feel like I'm a bit paranoid and want to give it a little more time, but seems like my research on the internet has turned up potential problems with decay from these restoration if not correctly done, but an independent dentist said it was ok. Should I go to a third?
