Re: Bad Breath After Wisdom Teeth Removal

It's possible you may have dry socket. It was true for me when I started noticing bad breath/bad taste in the mouth. Just ask your dentist about it when you go in to see him tomorrow.

Re: Bad Breath After Wisdom Teeth Removal

You dont have to be 100% healed for the stitches to be removed. When the stitches was pulled out you will notice a bad odor. I believe that is because the stitches are coated with bacteria plaque and when it was pulled out you will smell a bad odor. It should go away in a few days with good home care of brushing and flossing. You can't have a dry socket if the stitches are removed.

Re: Bad Breath After Wisdom Teeth Removal

I think you are fortunate not to have had bad breath for the first week. you probably missed the worst of it. I am suprised you could not smell mine from whereever you are it was so bad. Once you are healed it should go away.
