| Re: Wisdom teeth - IV Sedation
Got all 4 of them out (1 erupted, 3 impacted) about 4 hours ago, came home and slept for a while, now am in semi-fuctioning mode...
I have to say, that even though I was fairly nervous about the sedation and the procedure, IV Sedation is still the way to go people... I'm not afraid of needles, so he didn't have to use and NO... He put the IV line in, some meds, I suddenly grew very, very calm and we were talking about the Red Sox one minute, and I was in a recovery room watching the Price is Right the next. No nausea, no real dizziness... Just a bit of slugglishness... Didn't fall walking out which is a plus, slept for a while, now just getting some winter break schoolwork (At Cornell University, they take PRIDE in working you to death *rolls eyes*) done. Figure if I can spell words, might as well get this done when im incapable of doing anything else. And I sent a friend on a mission to buy every single flavor of Jello Stop and Shop has... this outta be fun!
Overall, a good expierience for someone who's never had any sort of "surgery" before... If you are worried about the sedation like I was, trust me, and the others here, it's really not that bad.
Just thought this would help for someone who's nervous in the future... Thanks for all the help you guys and older posts gave me... Every once in a while the internet IS helpful!
